The facade of this new 11-storey building is reminiscent of the Russian classicism epoque and fits well into the historical setting of the Tverskaya Street. Mosproject, one of the largest and most experienced architectural firms in Moscow, developed this project. The German interior designer Peter Silling has recreated a classic interior reflecting the rich imperial style for which Russia was well known for during the 19th century. Each room is decorated with red cherry wood and marble from Portugal and Altai. The striking architecture of the roof top bar and the terrace on the highest floor offers panoramic 360° views of the Red Square and the Kremlin. The contemporary structure of glass and steel promotes a day light environment all year long.

The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow is centrally located both for tourist and business purposes. This site was the home of few landmark hotels over the centuries to include the Tsaregradskiy Traktir in the 18th century, the Hotel Paris in the 19th century and most recently, Hotel Intourist from 1970 until 2002.
