The Renaissance Hotel, Moscow opened in 1991. It was called the Olympic Penta then and was the first hotel of a European level in Moscow. In 1993 the hotel joined in the Renaissance Hotel Group and changed its name for the Olympic Penta Renaissance. In 1977 the Mariott International Chain bought the hotel and again it was renamed the Renaissance Hotel, Moscow. At present the hotel is owned by the Marriott International chain and Moscow government.
