Terelj National park excursion with lunch

Terelj National Park

Terelj National Park is the closest natural beauty site near Ulaanbaatar situated around 70 km to the north east of the city. Terelj is famous for its beautiful natural scenery and interesting rock formations. The Turtle Rock created by nature, Ariyapala monastery and the lifestyle of nomads are the key attractions.

A DAY TRIP TO TERELJ

It is a wonderful opportunity to explore the stunning beauty of Khan Khentii mountain range, unique rock formations of Terelj National Park, experience the hospitality of Mongolian nomads and have an active adventure within a day.

After breakfast drive to Terelj National Park and arrive at Turtle Rock. Then visit Ariyapala monastery.

After exploring the area surrounding this unique-shaped rock and taking photographs of this stunning landscape, visit a local nomad's family, where you will witness the genuine culture of Mongolian nomads and enjoy their hospitality. Arrive at the ger camp to have lunch.

In the afternoon you can enjoy hiking around the area or having a short horse riding excursion.

Transfer back to Ulan-Bator.

Ņity tour with dinner

Description

16.00 Start short city tour. Visit Natural history museum (or Bogd Khaan Winter Palace museum) and Sukhe-Bator square. Transfer to Zaisan hill to see the whole view of Ulan-Bator city. Visit Buddha statue near Zaisan hill.

Dinner in Mongolian restaurant. After dinner transfer to hotel. Tour ends around 20.30.
